LACHESI develops projects and solutions of energy poligeneration from renewable source with focus on the vegetal biomass and on the animal biogas, as well as on the high-performance cogeneration. The objective is contributing to the diminution of the Planet’s dependency on fossil fuels and to the reduction of the polluting emissions.

Biogas is one of the renewable sources which can be further utilized for the production of both electric and thermal energy. Biogas can have different origins; one of them is the anaerobic fermentation of biomass families: waste from livestock breeding farms, agricultural waste, food by-products and organic fraction of the urban waste. It is then obtained from the natural bacteria fermentation of organic substances in absence of oxygen.

The biogas generated by the decomposition process mainly consists of methane and carbon dioxide. However, in the biogas production process, the balance between the emissions and consumption of CO2 is considered as virtually null.

LACHESI integrates the activities referred to the generation of energy with solutions which locate upstream the power station down to the organization of the value chain related to the collection of fuel (e.g. the consortiums on the collection of the biomass) and downstream it, i.e. distribution and sale of the energy, also with district heating logics.

THE ADVANTAGES CONNECTED TO THE PRODUCTION OF BIOGAS: Reduction of the pollution and of the odors generated by the livestock waste and waste disposal sites – Valorization of the waste coming from the agro-industrial activities whose disposal is normally critical – Integration of the revenue of the farms and product diversification.
